Camberwell Drive update: 24 October 2025

We would like to thank you for your patience as we continue our works to remediate the mine shaft at Camberwell Drive.

Public Meeting

Thank you for the opportunity to meet with residents at the public meeting on 15 October. We really appreciated your feedback as we shared an update on our progress. We found it incredibly helpful to listen to your concerns and discuss matters in greater detail.

We shared a presentation detailing our progress so far, what is happening next and the timeline for the project works, which is an update to the plans previously shared. A copy of this presentation can be found under ‘downloads’.

During the meeting residents raised a number of questions and you can see these and our answers on our community page in the downloads section. Hours of working

At the meeting, we talked about the hours of working. To minimise the duration of our works and the associated disruption for residents, we have based our current programme on an extended 10 hour working day, from 8:00am – 6:00pm.

If we were to work from 08:30am – 4:30pm, this would extend our current programme by approximately 25 working days. Residents asked questions about this and we have answered these in the question-and-answer document.
